United Performance Metals rapidly growing Advanced Solutions Center is looking to add an EDM Operator to their 2nd and weekend shift teams. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Starting Wage: $23 - $25, depending on experience 2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am Location: Hamilton, OH, On-site $1,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90-days

As an EDM Operator, you will:

Work closely with customer manufacturing specifications to ensure accurate machine programming. Set up, troubleshoot, and operate wire EDMs according to strict tolerances. Examine and measure completed units, identifying defects and ensuring adherence to specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors. Exercise strong problem-solving ability for the inspection and repair of machinery. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience for Success: 2+ years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools, and machines Ability to proficiently set up and use measuring equipment including CMM, CAD-CAM, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers, etc. Expert in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches Ability to create and maintain updated work processes related to machining Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments
