About the Job:

This role is highly creative and is responsible for the overall aesthetic of the site and presenting creative concepts to the Creative Director. The Art Director is the key point person for styling and directing monthly asset photoshoots, communicating editorial image standards and guidelines related to selects, retouching, as well as the distribution of brand imagery. The Art Director supports the Creative Director in larger campaign execution from concept through final retouched imagery.

A day in the life, what you'll be doing:

  • Oversee eCommerce Photography and creative assets for Campaign and larger eCommerce photo shoots
  • Lead the efforts on overall aesthetics of the eCommerce site and selection on images used for the site.
  • Lead creative with emerging talent research and present ideas of potential collaborations to Creative Director
  • The Art Director also works closely with the Post -Production team in maintaining consistency in all editorial imagery through to the final customer-facing uploaded imagery.
  • Regularly test new ideas with studio team and prepare presentations of options for updating art direction for e-commerce on a seasonal or as-needed basis.
  • Lead the direction of editorial marketing image creation. This includes choice of lighting, set environment, models, styling, processing, and image editing.
  • Create a monthly concept deck to review with Creative Director.
  • Quality control of e-commerce and campaign imagery, and lead team to deliver the best possible edit during every shoot session.
  • Make decision on final selects and retouched images and ensure imagery is delivered on time.
  • Own all process for imagery for weekly marketing messages, social, PR, store, print projects and use and special projects
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to create art layers for Editorial and eCommerce photography.
  • Collaborate with Creative Director on look book pagination of editorial photography when appropriate
  • Assist Creative Director with presentations for editorial photography using In Design
  • Support Creative Director on campaign shoots, creative concept through execution

What it takes to Join:

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac platform.
  • Must have experience with Capture One
  • Experience in Studio Lighting
  • Ability to communicate creative ideas effectively
  • Experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge / understanding of fashion industry / retail environment.
  • BFA, BA or other design related degree desired.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Photo Studio is a Canon Studio.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
