Job Title: Echocardiograph Technician
Location: Rockwall, TX
Duration: 15 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts
Compensation: $1,760 - $2,160 Weekly (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Echocardiograph Technician to join a busy outpatient cardiology team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of non-invasive cardiac and vascular diagnostic procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and high-quality imaging standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echocardiography procedures according to established protocols.
- Conduct vascular studies including carotid ultrasound, lower arterial studies, lower venous studies, ankle-brachial index (ABI), and abdominal aorta examinations as needed.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining examinations and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Accurately document findings and ensure timely completion of study reports.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection control procedures, and departmental policies.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns as needed.
- Provide excellent patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support workflow needs across multiple outpatient clinic locations as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
Certifications & Licensure
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Additional vascular credentials preferred.
Required Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of recent outpatient clinic experience within the last three years.
- Experience performing echocardiograms and stress echocardiography studies.
- Experience with vascular imaging studies preferred, including:
- Carotid Ultrasound
- Lower Extremity Arterial Studies
- Lower Extremity Venous Studies
- Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI)
- Abdominal Aorta Imaging
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound imaging principles.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with electronic medical records and cardiovascular imaging systems.
- Adaptability to support multiple clinic locations when needed.
