Position Purpose: The ECFE program assistant will be responsible for setup, clean up, and maintenance of a safe classroom environment for parents and children. The position is also responsible for implementing all aspects of curriculum as assigned by the Child Educator and/or ECFE/SR Coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities:
Preferences: We strongly prefer candidates who have exhibited excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm for working with students. Preferred candidates will also have experience working with young children and supervising group activities. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional demonstrated qualifications include: creative planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with young children and supervising group activities preferred.
Licensing Requirements: Current CPR and first aid certification required.
Salary and Benefits: The starting pay for this position is between $16.89 - $18.76 and is based on the Community Education pay scale. The initial placement is dependent on qualifications (education and years of relevant experience). Benefits include personal days and Earned Safe an Sick Time, as applicable.
