Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking an ECAD Database Engineer for a remote one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The ECAD Database Engineer will support database management, ECAD/PLM process optimization, and Siemens Xpedition and EDM tool environments. This role includes database modeling, data mapping, configuration management, process analysis, and automation support for electronics design lifecycle workflows. The position requires experience with PCB/CCA design, Siemens Xpedition, Siemens EDM, electronic PLM technology, and scripting.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with PCB/CCA design and the electronics design lifecycle.
• Experience using Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM.
• Experience working with electronic product lifecycle management technology.
• Experience integrating across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to analyze existing ECAD PLM processes and identify optimization opportunities within Siemens Xpedition and EDM.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript or Python for software automation tasks.
• Data management experience.
• Scripting experience.
• Siemens tool experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of scripting and automating tasks using Xpedition API.
• Experience creating library parts in the Siemens tool suite.
• Experience in PCB design, fabrication, or assembly for rigid and rigid-flex CCAs.
• Familiarity with other EDA tools such as Zuken, Altium, or Cadence.
• Circuit design experience.
• Electronics experience.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install database management systems.
• Support database modeling and design.
• Support relational database architecture, metadata, repository creation, and configuration management.
• Use data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
• Determine data storage and optimum storage requirements.
• Prepare system requirements, source analysis, process analyses, and design documentation throughout database implementation.
• Analyze ECAD PLM workflows and recommend process improvements.
• Support Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM environments.
• Develop scripts or automation to support software and process efficiency.

Pay

• $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
