Position Summary

The Early Learning Specialist uses family support and partnership principles to conduct ongoing outreach, recruitment, enrollment, and health screenings of children for Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) services. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining community partnerships to enhance quality services for children and families, and for ensuring compliance with data collection in early learning management systems.

Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in adult education, human development, human services, social work, early childhood education, child development, psychology or another field directly related to essential functions. Three or more years' experience applying family support and partnership principles and performing detailed program support. Experience working in ECEAP in Washington state preferred. Equivalent education/experience can substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal or regulatory requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance required. Must provide proof of tuberculosis (TB) testing or treatment, and proof of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) immunization or proof of immunity.
Employment Conditions and Benefits
Work is primarily performed in office and early learning environments; however, travel may be required for district visits throughout Western Washington, workshops or conference attendance. Work extended and flexible hours as necessary. Lifts and carry a maximum of 30 pounds. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. This position may be telecommute-eligible per Policy 5225.
Hazards: Potential hazards are present based on the fact that the position requires the incumbent to travel. Hazards may include but are not limited to traveling alone, in inclement weather conditions, varied road conditions, rush hour traffic, etc.
Salary Range
$76,460.80-$86,132.80
