We are looking for a special instructor who loves working with families and children birth-3 years providing early intervention for Missouri First Steps. Sessions are in-person in family homes, daycares and other community settings. Mileage is paid at .70/mile.

Annual pay estimate of $60,000 - $72,500 based on 25 visits/week for 50 weeks of the year. This is a 1099 contract position.

Pay Per Visit:
  • $48.00 - $58.00 per hour visit.
  • $220 per standardized assessment (DAYC 2).

Job Details:
  • Early intervention therapy takes place in a family's home or other natural environment.
  • You will spend days working closely with caregivers to support their child's development and successful participation in daily activities and routines.
  • The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and their families - and who is willing to learn and support others with kindness, a positive spirit, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • You will be enrolled as a contract provider in Missouri First Steps (can help with this process during onboarding).
  • A bachelor's degree with one year documented experience working with young children and families in early childhood special education, early childhood elementary education, child/human development, social work, nursing, psychology, sociology, counseling or other similar degree required.
  • You must carry your own liability insurance.

Experience:
  • At least 1 year documented experience working with young children and their families.

This position includes primarily home visits. Must be willing to drive to appointments. Mileage paid at .70/mile.
