Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Plan learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate
- Meeting the individual needs of the children
- Design a daily and weekly lesson plan using the Creative Curriculum system.
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities
- Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
- Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a teacher
- Strong understanding of child development, Head Start, Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- AA degree or higher in Early Childhood with a Minimum 6 credit hours of college course work in Infant/Toddler Care PREFERRED
- or, Infant Toddler CDA
- or, Gateways Infant Toddler Credential 2 or higher
- Early Head Start experience REQUIRED
