Early Head Start Home Visitor
SALARY: $48,127.50 annually, with progressive increases to $63,135.58 annually
LOCATION: Everett, Washington
DESCRIPTION:
Parenting a child under the age of three¿and navigating pregnancy¿is one of life¿s most rewarding, beautiful, and challenging experiences. As an Early Head Start Home Visitor, you will step into a vital role partnering with and supporting diverse families and expectant mothers from all over the world.
In this role, you will manage a dedicated caseload of 12 families in our Home-Based program, conducting weekly, 90-minute home visits to empower parents as their childs first and most important teacher. Beyond one-on-one visits, you¿ll also build community by planning and facilitating 22 vibrant group socialization events annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
Build Trusting Partnerships (50%): Form and maintain supportive relationships with parents while keeping clear, professional boundaries. You will serve as an advocate for families, encourage them to volunteer on Center Committees, and help them design a rich home learning environment.
Deliver Critical Services (25%): Act as a dedicated case manager for infants, toddlers, and expectant mothers. You will conduct developmental and behavioral screenings, create individualized learning plans, coordinate community/health services, and complete at least 46 home visits and 22 group socializations per family annually.
Maintain Excellence & Compliance (25%): Implement our research-based early childhood home-based curriculum and lead engaging parent workshops. Youll ensure integrated service delivery matches the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and uphold the Edmonds College Workplace Civility and Respect Policy.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in office, client home, and classroom settings and requires using a computer and standard office equipment. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English and will include communication with people for whom English is not a native language.
People in this position must be able to climb stairs and walk over uneven surfaces, walk or run quickly, kneel or sit on the floor, lift approximately forty (40) pounds (only on an emergency, as-needed basis), sit in a childs size chair, and move quickly from multiple positions and levels.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday, 38 hours per week (.95 FTE)
COMPENSATION:
Salary range 48. Beginning salary is $48,127.50 annually, with progressive increases to $63,135.58, plus a full state benefits package, which includes tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, 3 personal leave days, and 17 vacation days per year (incremental increases to 25 vacation days per year).
