Early College Coordinator - 2026/2027
Position Summary
The Early College Coordinator (ECC) manages Burlington High School''s Early College program in partnership with Middlesex Community College (MCC), bridging high school and higher education. The ECC recruits students, oversees the Early College Seminar and academic advising, manages the program''s grant-funded budget, and works to ensure that students from groups underrepresented in postsecondary education can earn at least 12 college credits while fulfilling their high school diploma requirements.
The ECC reports to the Director of Counseling and serves as the primary liaison between Burlington High School and Middlesex Community College. The role is responsible for building and sustaining the collaborative structures that support student progress and success, and for fostering an Early College community within Burlington High School.
Responsibilities
- Student Recruitment - Recruit and advise students, working with the School Counseling Department to support students'' college and career plans, with particular attention to promoting access for students from underrepresented into high-earning fields and postsecondary institutions. Develop and execute a marketing plan to build parent and student awareness of the program and highlight student accomplishments.
- Advising & Enrollment Support - Host student and family workshops and manage on-campus field trips to MCC four times per year. Process admissions applications and guide students through course registration each semester.
- Partner Relations - Serve as a point of contact between BHS and MCC, collaborating with BHS counselors, BHS faculty, and MCC faculty. Coordinate on-campus scheduling and logistics for joint events and site visits. Ensure the BHS-MCC partnership complies with the terms outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions.
- Data Management & Compliance - Track student enrollment, attrition, and academic progress using Aspen, Google Classroom, MCC''s student portal, and ParentSquare, to ensure compliance with state and grant deliverables.
- Program Management - Manage the Early College grant budget, including tracking expenditures for student transportation (buses) and instructional materials.
- Student Success - Coordinate academic and non-academic support services for Early College students, drawing on existing services already available at BHS and MCC. Serve as the lead advisor and instructor for the Early College Seminar. Assess student and program performance in partnership with faculty and Counseling, and make recommendations to improve student achievement in support of the program''s objectives.

- Ability to create and maintain an environment in which students'' diverse backgrounds, identities, strengths, and challenges are respected.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor''s degree required; Master''s degree in Education, Counseling, or Higher Education Administration strongly preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in academic advising, admissions, or program management; experience working with high school students.
- Skills: Strong data-analysis and grant-administration skills; excellent cross-cultural communication and organizational skills; project-management experience; ability to work collaboratively across a school environment; ability to use technology to track, manage, and promote a program.
- Commitment: Demonstrated experience and commitment to working in a racially and culturally diverse teaching and learning community.
Schedule, Compensation & Start Date
- Full-time, school-year position; benefits eligible.
- Grant-funded for three years through the Early College grant.
- Regular schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., with availability for occasional evening or weekend hours for family and recruitment events throughout the year.
- The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with education and experience.
