TITLE: Early Childhood Teaching Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Pre-school or child care experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Initiative to help out where needed.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Early Learning

JOB GOALS: To assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning Early Learning Program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and monitor students in educational settings.
  • Provide teacher support; objective observation, data keeping, and prepare and organize materials.
  • Assist in implementing successful student programs as designed by education staff.
  • Participate in program trainings provided.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to diversity in cultural heritage, lifestyles, and value systems among students and families.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the building principal and/or supervising teacher, specific to early childhood programming.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
