Responsibilities include supporting behavior management, preparing classroom materials, supervising students, providing personal care, and assisting with academic tasks such as reading, writing, and math.
Teacher Assistants additionally help implement lesson plans, administer tests, and may substitute for teachers.

Basic requirements are a high school diploma and knowledge of office equipment; Teacher Assistants need 60 college credit hours or equivalent.
