Responsibilities:
Lead activities to stimulate and develop children's intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.
Implement a dynamic and explorative curriculum that includes active free play.
Ensure that all children are supervised at all times to guarantee their safety and well-being.
Develop and maintain quality relationships with each child to create a nurturing environment.
Ensure the facility and all equipment are clean, well-maintained, and safe for children.
Provide a flexible yet predictable daily schedule to help children learn and grow.
Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High school diploma or equivalent.
0-1 year of relevant experience.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Must meet all federal and state childcare licensing requirements.
Current negative TB test.
Ability to obtain the Memo of Eligibility through State of Nevada Childcare Licensing and attend 24 hours of continuing education courses in the area of Early Childhood Development per year.
Must have proven communication, team building, and supervisory skills.
Must have working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, as well as early education theories and practices.
Must have previous experience in developing age-appropriate educational programs and activities for children ages 0-10.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Additional certifications in child development or education.
Previous experience in child development and knowledge of early education theories and practices.
Essential Functions:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
Ability to be on your feet and engaging the children during floor play for much of the work shift.
Proficiency with computers for documentation and communication.
Manual dexterity for handling toys, educational materials, and cleaning supplies.
Ability to work in a childcare environment that may involve loud noise levels.
Ability to travel may be required.
