The Opportunity
The Early Careers Program Specialist supports the planning, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of Early Careers programs, including internships, graduate programs, apprenticeships, and other entry-level talent initiatives.
This role helps ensure Early Careers programs are structured, engaging, and aligned with future workforce needs. Working closely with the Performance & Development Manager, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, and business leaders, this role supports the organization in identifying, developing, assessing, and converting early talent into future pipelines.
What you will do?
- Support the development, delivery, and coordination of Early Careers programs, including internships, graduate programs, apprenticeships, and other entry-level talent initiatives.
- Coordinate the full program lifecycle, including planning, onboarding, orientation, communications, events, learning activities, performance checkpoints, feedback collection, conversion tracking, and offboarding.
- Partner with the Performance & Development Manager to ensure Early Careers programs align with future capability needs, workforce planning priorities, and long-term talent pipeline requirements.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition to support early talent attraction, selection, placement, campus recruitment, career fairs, hiring manager alignment, and conversion opportunities.
- Coordinate Early Careers events, including orientation sessions, networking events, leadership sessions, learning workshops, career panels, community-building activities, and end-of-program showcases.
- Partner with Learning & Development to ensure early career participants have access to relevant training, development resources, and capability-building opportunities.
- Support managers and mentors by providing guidance, timelines, toolkits, expectations, and best practices for managing and developing early career talent.
- Prepare reports and insights on program effectiveness, participant experience, conversion rates, diversity, retention, and future hiring pipeline impact.
- Gather feedback from participants, managers, mentors, and HR stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and enhance the Early Careers experience.
- Promote Early Careers as a key source of future talent and support stronger integration with workforce planning, internal mobility, succession planning, and future hiring needs.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience managing and supporting internships, graduate programs, apprenticeships, student programs, or entry-level talent initiatives.
- Strong program coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple participants, stakeholders, timelines, and events.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students, employees, managers, leaders, schools, and external partners.
- Ability to manage and support participant assessment, feedback collection, performance tracking, and conversion planning.
- Comfortable working with data, reports, feedback, and program metrics to evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage program logistics, documentation, and communications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition, Talent & Performance, HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, and business stakeholders.
- Passion for developing early talent and creating inclusive, engaging, and meaningful employee experiences.
- Understanding of how Early Careers programs support future talent pipelines, workforce planning, internal mobility, and long-term talent sustainability.
- Experience managing and supporting campus recruitment, university partnerships, or early talent conversion processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification or relevant talent/performance management training preferred.
