Position Title Eagles Nest Manager Job Description
- In conjunction with the other manager recruit, and retain student staff as needed throughout the year.
- Schedule student staff so there is appropriate coverage throughout the day.
- Train student staff in production and food safety.
- Place food orders from multiple vendors.
- Maintain Grubhub app with current menu and pricing.
- Utilize quadpoint software to maintain registers and accurate ordering processes.
- Maintain menus that are creative and up to date with current trends.
- Position rotates each semester from am to pm.
- This is a 12-month position and will be expected to fill as needed based on scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in food service, preferably in a higher education or student dining setting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in using scheduling and point-of-sale software.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cooking experience in high volume operation.
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
- Proficient in excel and other softwares.
Physical Demands
- This position operates in a dynamic, high-volume food service environment.
- The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and the ability to work in varying temperatures.
- The Eagles Nest Manager will interact with a diverse group of students, staff, and vendors, requiring professionalism and adaptability.
