The Durable Medical Equipment Technician plays a critical role in delivering high-quality orthopedic support by fitting and educating patients on durable medical equipment (DME), performing casting and splinting procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation and billing. This role ensures that all prescribed orthopedic devices are properly applied, tracked, and billed in compliance with payer requirements, while also supporting operational efficiency through inventory and audit coordination. Strong collaboration with clinical teams, providers, and patients is essential to uphold Advocate Health's standards for care quality, satisfaction, and operational excellence.
