Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and other vehicles safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and materials transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or other heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers is a plus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading materials.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
