Hotel Director Of Sales

A national Hotel Management Group seeks an experienced Hotel Director Of Sales with full-service hotel experience to lead its Sales efforts for an IHG and Marriott Hotel in the Sarasota, FL area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong tenure with IHG and Marriott at full-service properties. We are looking for a Hotel Ambassador and Team Builder to establish a high level of rapport with clients. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team to maximize total revenue and ensure sales goals are met and exceeded
  • Established client base and cultivated relationships, building business, and providing a stable and positive work environment for the team
  • Spend a significant amount of time out of the hotel surveying market and comp set/neighboring hotels, researching new clients/opportunities, and knowing the market and its environment
  • Observe local trends in the market
  • Conduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
  • Supporting and Developing the Sales Managers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience
  • IHG and/or Marriott Sales experience
  • Must currently be working for an IHG or Marriott brand
  • Experience in Budget Preparation, Forecasting, Revenue Generation, Analytics, Coaching, and management of Sales Teams
  • Any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experience
  • Past hotel Director of Sales experience is a plus!
  • 4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve complaints
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections
  • Detail-oriented.
