Job Summary

Job Summary

The Compton Unified School District is seeking highly qualified and passionate Dual Enrollment Instructors committed to preparing high school seniors for success beyond graduation. This unique opportunity combines teaching college-credit Human Development courses with supporting students as they navigate their postsecondary plans. The primary focus of this role is to teach college-level Human Development courses to high school seniors, helping students build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed for life after high school. Courses may include: • HDEV 101 - Personal and Career Exploration • HDEV 105 - College and Career Success Strategies • HDEV 107 - Life Planning and Personal Development Through these courses, students earn college credit while exploring career pathways, financial literacy, goal setting, academic success habits, and personal growth. In addition to teaching, this position may provide counseling and student support services as needed, including guidance with college, career, and transition planning. The primary emphasis, however, is on high-quality instruction, relationship-building, and creating a meaningful senior-year experience that equips students with a clear next step after graduation. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who believes every student deserves a strong plan for the future and is eager to play a direct role in helping students successfully transition to college, career, military service, or other postsecondary pathways.
