Description
This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position with the Department of Alternative Sentencing located in Carson City, Nevada.The position, under general supervision, provides administrative support and performs duties related to the drug screening of clients; and performs related duties as required.
Individuals in this position must be willing to work some weekends and varied shifts.
Due to current staffing needs this posting is currently requesting one male applicant.
This is a grant-funded/special funded position and, as such, employees are responsible for knowing abiding by the rules of the grant/special fund. This position will continue to be funded as long as the grant/special funding is renewed.
Employees may choose between the following:
Employer-Paid PERS Retirement: $20.9469 - $29.3256 hourly / $43,569.50 - $60,997.30 annually
Employee/Employer-Paid PERS Retirement: $25.27 - $35.3780 hourly / $52,561.60 - $73,586.24 annually

Typical Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent, AND one (1) year of customer service experience providing and receiving information on a daily basis; OR any combination of equivalent experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Fluent bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
SPECIAL NOTE: Must be 18 years of age by the time of appointment.

Under General Supervision - Incumbents at this level are given assignments and objectives that are governed by specifically outlined work methods and a sequence of steps, which are explained in general terms. The responsibility for achieving the work objectives, however, rests with a superior. Immediate supervision is not consistent, but checks are integrated into work processes and/or reviews are frequent enough to ensure compliance with instructions.
