What You'll Do:
As a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, you'll provide direct counseling, develop personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Your expertise will help individuals navigate their recovery journeys, fostering hope and positive change.

Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of addiction and recovery principles
  • Effective communication and active listening skills

  • Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with AVATAR EMR is a plus but not mandatory

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience in substance abuse counseling or behavioral health settings
  • Certification or licensure as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor (e.g., CADC, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)

Other Requirements:
  • Valid Pennsylvania drivers license and reliable transportation (if travel is required)
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and certifications as needed
  • Use of AVATAR EMR system experience is advantageous but not required
