Driver Helper
Company: Waste Connections
Position Summary:
Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious Driver Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting the driver with residential and/or commercial route collections while ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.
Job Duties:
+ Ride on the back of the truck and assist the driver on collection routes
+ Collect and dump residential and/or commercial waste and recyclables
+ Safely load and unload materials into the truck
+ Navigate routes and assist with directions as needed
+ Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operations at all times
+ Provide courteous and professional service to customers
+ Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
+ Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
+ Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day
+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, and ride on the back of the truck for extended periods
+ Strong work ethic and reliability
+ Team-oriented mindset
Schedule:
+ Early morning start times (typically 5:00 AM–6:00 AM)
+ Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed
