The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading logistics and warehousing organization and to hire an experienced and dependable Driver-Foreman for their Chicago, IL location.
In this role you will lead all aspects of removals, collections, deliveries, and installations of personal effects, fine art, decorative furniture, and antiques while coordinating projects and managing on-site crews under the direction of Operations and Dispatch leadership.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Perform local/interstate collections, deliveries, and lead on-site installation & crew supervision
- Safely handle, pack, transport, and store fine art, antiques, high-value furniture, and fragile items
- Complete condition check, reports, documentation, and site paperwork accurately
- Keep vehicles clean, safe, equipped, trip-ready & promptly report any damage or safety concerns
- Verify daily manifests and obtain Dispatch Manager approval for all trip manifest changes
- Submit supervisor signed timesheets within 24 hours when working from an alternate location
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail and service standards
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead, manage crews, monitor performance & report concerns to the Dispatch Manager as needed
- Crew scheduling, time management, attendance, uniforms, breaks, & timesheet completion
- Train and mentor junior drivers and art handlers
- Arrive prepared, collect daily assignments, and proactively address operational needs
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in art handling, logistics, moving, transportation, and leading installation crews of 8+ members
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of inventory management, condition reporting, art handling, and OSHA standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; Team-oriented and results-driven
- Experience operating logistics equipment (dollies, J-Bars, pallet jacks, hand trucks etc.)
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and move loads up to 150 lbs
