Pay: $22.14 - $26.62
At PARR, our Drivers are essential to fulfilling the needs of our customers by making sure they are receiving their orders on time and in excellent condition. The ideal driver is someone driven to maintain safety regulations and above and beyond customer service.
The Driver reports directly to the General Manager and interacts daily with customers, dispatchers, receivers, and load builders.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Class C License
Must be 21 years old or older
Current DOT Medical Card or must obtain DOT medical card as condition of employment
Acceptable driving record
Ability to speak, write, and read English required
Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
Open and transparent communication
Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
Driving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferred
Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, made of leather or composite material, and have ankle support required
Duties and Responsibilities
Completes required new hire training
Always provides required paperwork and scanning for dispatch
Seeks to learn products and their application for the end users
Learns and follows established best practices
Learns from mistakes and accepts coaching as opportunities
Demonstrates legal and thorough knowledge of tie down rules and regs
Understands weight, height, and length limits
Ensures that all material transported on the truck has either an invoice or Material Returns Form
Continues to participate in training as available
Learning best practices related to efficient loading, strapping, and driving
Checks load for accuracy
Annually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
Complete mileage and fuel usage reports
Annually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each delivery
Learns and uses route planning and optimization
Demonstrates commitment to on-time and in-full deliveries
Perform other related duties as assigned
This is considered a safety-sensitive position. Drivers will be working at a lumber yard and making deliveries at jobsites in all weather conditions.

Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
