Primary ResponsibilitiesTake responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as neededFunction as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as neededMay be involved with coordinating staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.May supervise small staff of professionals and technicians as neededResponsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and for the execution of training for personnel as established.Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliancePerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degreeExperience working with Alaska Native Villages or Indigenous communitiesA minimum of 3 years' experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projectsFamiliarity with rural logistics and procurement challengesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent fieldPrevious experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projectsRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
