Piper Companies is seeking a Drawing Controls Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering organization for a full-time, permanent, onsite opportunity. The Drawing Controls Engineer will serve as the primary resource for managing site drawings and CAD systems, supporting engineering teams and maintaining accurate design documentation across projects.
Responsibilities of the Drawing Controls Engineer include:
- Manage and maintain all facility drawings within a centralized document control system, ensuring accuracy and version control.
- Revise existing CAD drawings and occasionally develop new layouts to reflect engineering updates and project needs.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and operations teams to incorporate changes and resolve design discrepancies.
- Conduct site walkthroughs and gather field data to validate drawing accuracy and support project updates.
- Support capital projects through drawing issuance, updates, and organization of design documentation.
Qualifications for the Drawing Controls Engineer include:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on CAD experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, including 3D modeling capabilities; familiarity with tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Experience working with drawing/document management systems (e.g., Meridian or similar platforms).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in CAD, drafting, engineering technology, or a related discipline (Bachelor's preferred).
Compensation for the Drawing Controls Engineer:
Salary Range: $80,000-$115,000/year (USD) + 2.5% bonus
