Are we the road to your future? We are currently searching for an experienced Drainage Project Engineer to support our Southwest Region located in Austin, Houston, McKinney, Rockwall, Round Rock, San Antonio, or Tyler, TX .To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, 4 years of progressive drainage/water resources and TxDOT experience.What you'll be doing: Collecting and analyzing data for inclusion in Project Plans and reportsUsing computer engineering software to design stormwater management and storm drain systems, as well as soil erosion and sediment control systemsAnalyzing and designing hydrologic and hydraulic models for Transportation Improvement projectsPermitting with different Regulatory and Water Management agenciesAssisting and preparing project plans using OpenRoads DesignerContributing to the preparation and/or modification of considerable scope and complexity engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projectsPreparing and assisting in the preparation of project construction details, quantities, cost estimates and project specificationsReviewing project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance to project requirementsPreparing and assisting with the preparation of project schedulesCollaborating across multiple disciplines, subconsultants, and other professionals to successfully deliver quality projects within budget and scheduleOverseeing project design activities, supervising production efforts, and mentoring junior level support staff and other designersPerforming other professional, management, marketing and networking duties as assignedAssist with roadway project development and other misc. civil engineering tasks for project design and deliveryWhat you need to have: Bachelor's of Science in Civil EngineeringValid Professional Engineering Licensure preferred or the ability to acquire it within 6 months4 - 6 years of relative/progressive drainage/water resources and TxDOT experienceExperience with OpenRoads Designer, Storm CAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS, GIS and/or SUDA softwarePrevious TxDOT Drainage design experience and strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and proceduresAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)Bonus points if you have: Strong interpersonal and communication skillsMaster's in Water ResourcesKey Benefits: Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Medical, Dental, & Vision401(k) retirement savings plan + employer matchingPaid Time Off (PTO) and holidaysEmployer-Paid Life/AD&D insuranceEmployer-Paid short-term disability and long-term disabilityWellness incentivesStudent Debt Retirement MatchAdditional voluntary benefitsEOE-Race/Sex/Vets/Disabled#J-18808-Ljbffr
