About the Role<\/span><\/b>

We’re seeking a Drainage Engineer with
experience in water resources, stormwater management, and hydraulic design to
join a growing Transportation Design team. This role plays a key part in
developing drainage systems for roadway and infrastructure projects across
Florida. The ideal candidate is a technically strong, detail -oriented engineer
who enjoys problem -solving and collaborating across disciplines to deliver
high -quality, innovative solutions.<\/span>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Prepare drainage design calculations, reports, and construction plans in
accordance with FDOT, local, and federal requirements.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as ICPR,
HEC -RAS, HY -8, ASAD, and other stormwater modeling tools.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Design and analyze stormwater management systems, conveyance systems,
retention/detention ponds, and culverts.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Support preparation of Permit applications and supporting documentation
for local, state, and federal agencies (FDOT, FDEP, SWFWMD, SFWMD, etc.).<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Collaborate with roadway, utility, and environmental teams to ensure
design integration and constructibility.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Contribute to project reports, specifications, cost estimates, and
technical presentations.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Perform quality reviews of design work and coordinate with senior staff
for mentorship and technical guidance.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Participate in field visits, data collection, and construction support
activities as needed.<\/span>

Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s
preferred).<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>PE. (Professional Engineer) in Florida preferred or the ability to
obtain within 12 months.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>5–8 years of relevant experience in drainage, stormwater, or water
resources design.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR, HEC -RAS, ASAD,
and/or StormCAD.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Knowledge of FDOT drainage design standards, procedures, and permitting
processes.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Roadway design experience a plus.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Strong technical writing, communication, and teamwork skills.<\/span>
