Air Performance specializes in the design, manufacture, and painting of Commercial Louvers, Sunshades, Brake Metal and other specialized Aluminum Products. We are currently seeking a Drafter / CNC Programmer that will become part of our team and help lead us in the next phase of growth in the industry. Drafter / CNC Programmer Responsibilities: - Team player responsible for providing job specific CAD drawings
- Become knowledgeable of product line, and install methods
- Read and interpret construction drawings
- Review, revise and develop plans, elevations, and options as needed per client and engineer
- Develop creative design solutions with minor supervision
- Present design ideas to project managers
- Collaborate with team to develop details of design
- Work closely with Engineers to anticipate design needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support all departments in the company
Drafter / CNC Programmer Qualifications: - Proficient in AutoCAD. Experience with Inventor a plus but not required
- Knowledge of and experience with engineering principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Must be self-driven and result oriented
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must understand contract documents such as specifications and be able to identify possible opportunities or issues.
- 1-2 years experience in a professional Architecture/Design setting preferred
- Familiarity with common construction methods and detailing is essential
- Experience in building envelope design a plus - wall panels, curtain wall, glass, windows, doors, coping and metal trim are consistently in our drawings along with our products
