ADP Resources LLC is a specialized consulting and design firm based in Dallas, Oregon. We offer outside plant engineering, CAD/GIS design and permit services for customers in the telecommunication industry.
We are looking to add a remote position to our Drafting Department Team. Preference to applicants in Oregon, Washington, Utah, North Carolina, Colorado and Georgia since we are licensed in those states.
Note: This employer will conduct a 5-panel drug screening and a criminal history background check as part of the hiring process.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Eighteen (18) years of age
1-year full time experience using AutoCAD - professional experience preferred, related school experience is acceptable.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and employer specific database.
Willing to work a varying schedule at times, to meet the needs of the position, occasional (evening/weekend work may be required)
Preferred (not required):
Experience working in client proprietary software/other drafting and GIS
Experience within the telecommunication/utility industry and outside plant design
Knowledge and experience working with telecom or utility industries
Right of way permit and/or traffic control plan experience
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independent of daily supervision, be detailed and organized and ensure follow-through processes are completed timely. We are looking for a communicator with verbal and listening skills, a person able to multi-task, change directives quickly, be willing to learn and become self-reliant.
Job Duties:
* Draft new and revise existing aerial, underground plant facilities based on field and design information provided.
*Perform quality control on drafting received from contractors.
* Create detailed drawings as required of MDU (Multiple Dwelling Unit) schematics, trenching details, road/bridge crossings, and detail schematics.
* Plan and schedule projects with other departments and drafters.
* Read and interpret utility engineering drawings and plans to draft communications networks.
* Enter, access, retrieve data and send emails using computer and company software.
* Use basic mathematical skills and make accurate calculations.
* Use a variety of databases, (including customer databases) and web applications that provide facility assignment records and other engineering and project related information, (Google Earth/Maps, etc.).
* Review maps and drawings of projects to help verify quality of data.
* Communicate effectively on issues and correct and collaborate as needed regarding work.
