Description

Lakeshore Beverage is seeking individuals interested in developing a delivery career.

This is a full-time regular position, Tuesday through Friday, starting at 5 a.m. and ending when all deliveries are complete. This position is guaranteed 40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will be a true “people person" with a strong commitment to excellent customer service. The Delivery Trainee will assist and/or perform the tasks required of the Delivery Driver; they will unload each account’s order, place it in the designated area inside the account’s facility, fill all coolers and shelves, merchandise/face and straighten all products in the retail space, and rotate stock appropriately according to expiration date.

This is physically demanding work due to the weight of beverage products and the volume of product that goes out for delivery each day.

While working in this position, if you are identified as a good candidate for the Delivery Driver position, the Company will help you obtain your Commercial Driver's License. This includes assistance with the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program. The company will provide support for your training and testing.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a person with good knowledge of the local or similar markets, who will enjoy being out in the trade with the customers and taking care of their product delivery needs.

The Delivery Trainee represents the Company so professional appearance and conduct are required.

+ Valid driver's license

+ Driving record that is acceptable to the Company (few or no infractions)

+ Class “A" CDL Permit or a Class “B" CDL is preferred.

+ Ability to lift and move items ranging from 15 lbs. (a case of 24 12-oz. cans) to 58 pounds (small keg) and manipulate/handle up to 162 lbs. (large keg).
