Bachelor’s degree in physics (or a related Life, Physical, or Applied Science) is required.
JRCERT-accredited Formal Education in Medical Dosimetry (BS/MS/Certificate) is preferred.
Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) eligibility is required, while MDCB certification is preferred.
Clinical medical dosimetry experience, including 3D conformal and IMRT/VMAT/SBRT treatment planning, is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Working knowledge of radiation safety and correct use of immobilization devices, compensators, wedges, field arrangement, and other treatment variables.- Expertise in the technical aspects of radiation oncology and medical physics to develop optimal treatment plans.- Knowledge in health care informatics, including the resources, devices, and methods to acquire, store, and retrieve data.- Good communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate the exchange of information with patients, family members, the radiation oncology treatment team, as well as outside entities.- High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Dosimetrist II: 2-3 years required
