Overview of the Grant
The United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women provides national leadership and funding to strengthen the nation's response to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Through this grant, local jurisdictions receive support to improve their ability to identify high‑risk situations, enhance coordination among partner agencies, and deliver more effective services to victims. The grant also funds the creation and implementation of a high‑risk domestic violence team designed to improve safety outcomes and streamline justice system responses.
Role Summary
The Domestic Violence High Risk Team Coordinator serves as the coordinator for the high‑risk domestic violence team established through the Office on Violence Against Women grant. This role supports the day‑to‑day implementation of the team by managing referrals, organizing and facilitating case review meetings, and coordinating information‑sharing among partner agencies. The position plays a key role in maintaining smooth communication, ensuring timely case flow, and supporting collaborative decision‑making across all participating organizations.
Note: This is a grant-funded position. Employees in grant-funded roles are eligible for County benefits except participation in the mandatory Arapahoe County Retirement Plan (401(a) Defined Benefit Plan).
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Coordinates the Domestic Violence High Risk Team (DVHRT) program by facilitating the identification and monitoring of high-risk domestic violence cases, convening multidisciplinary partners to develop and implement individualized intervention plans, enhancing victim safety and offender accountability, identifying systemic gaps in the community response, and collecting and analyzing data to evaluate program outcomes and improve system effectiveness. The DVHRT also identifies and closes systemic gaps in the response system and measures case outcomes through data collection and analysis.
