Company Overview
A Servidone Inc. is performing major heavy civil construction on the I-81 Viaduct Project Phase 2, Contract 6 in Syracuse, New York. This is a large, active infrastructure project with significant coordination, procurement, and document management demands. We are hiring a Document Control and Purchasing Coordinator who can help keep project information organized, purchasing activity moving, and the team supported day to day.

You will support both document control and purchasing on one of the region's most visible heavy civil jobs, working closely with project leadership and field operations. What You'll Do
- Manage project document control activities, including organizing, tracking, filing, and distributing submittals, correspondence, logs, and other key project records.
- Maintain accurate and current document storage so project leadership, field staff, and project partners can quickly access the information they need.
- Support purchasing by preparing and processing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, tracking deliveries, and helping keep materials and services aligned with project needs.
- Work with project management, field teams, accounting, and vendors to ensure documentation and purchasing activity is accurate, timely, and well coordinated.
- Track open items, follow up on outstanding documentation or procurement needs, and help reduce delays caused by missing paperwork or incomplete purchasing information.
- Help improve day-to-day project organization by bringing consistency, follow-through, and visibility to both document control and purchasing functions.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 6 to 12 months, success in this role will likely include:
- Building a reliable document control process that keeps records organized, current, and easy to retrieve.
- Keeping submittals, logs, correspondence, and project files up to date so the team has better visibility into outstanding and completed items.
- Supporting purchasing in a way that improves vendor coordination and helps prevent delays tied to materials or services.
- Becoming a dependable resource for the project team by staying ahead of details and following through without constant oversight.
- Helping the project run more efficiently by improving communication, accountability, and administrative control across document and purchasing workflows.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling detailed coordination work in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong candidates will typically bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in document control, purchasing coordination, project administration, or a similar construction support role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Experience supporting construction, heavy civil, highway, bridge, transportation, or other infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field teams, management, accounting, and vendors.
- A practical, detail-oriented approach and the ability to keep work moving in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong general computer and business software skills.
Preferred but not required:
- Experience with Procore
- Familiarity with Trimble document management or related systems
- Experience with purchase orders, vendor coordination, project logs, and construction recordkeeping
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time salaried position with an annual salary range of $75,000 to $95,000. Benefits include:

This role reports to the Deputy Project Manager.
