Overview
The Dock Associate supports dock and facility operations by safely and efficiently handling materials, shipments, and equipment. This role assists with daily dock activities including loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials while following all company policies and procedures. The Dock Associate works as part of a team to help maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock environment for team members, drivers, contractors, and customers.
Pay: $19.00-$19.50 hour

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
· Communicate regularly and professionally with teammates, supervisors, drivers, and other personnel.
· Perform assigned tasks in dock and staging areas as directed by the Supervisor. Assigned areas may vary based on operational needs.
· Assist with the safe movement, loading, unloading, and staging of materials, shipments, and equipment.
· Help maintain workflow and organization on the dock to support timely completion of assigned tasks.
· Follow all security, compliance, and safety standards and procedures established by ABM and the client.
· Report task updates, concerns, or issues to the Supervisor.
· Must be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
· Work is performed in warehouse and outdoor environments with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
· Meets productivity and attendance expectations while maintaining safety and quality standards.
· Actively participates in maintaining a safety-first culture and follows all incident reporting procedures.
· Maintains awareness of site security procedures and reports unauthorized access or concerns.
· Escalates operational issues such as overflow, contamination, or equipment failure promptly.

· Follow safety procedures and proper dock processes while handling materials and equipment.
· Participate in team efforts to complete assigned tasks according to company standards and protocols.
· Assist with daily dock activities, including staging, loading, unloading, sorting, and moving materials to designated areas.
· Operate equipment as needed (i.e. forklift, tugger, compactor, baller, etc.)
· Keep dock areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards or obstructions.
· Properly handle and place trailers, pallets, carts, and other materials as instructed.
· Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or operational concerns promptly to the Supervisor.
· Come prepared to work with appropriate PPE and weather-appropriate attire.
· Support inbound and outbound deliveries and shipment preparation as directed.
· Ensure materials are labeled, staged, and moved accurately and efficiently.
· Follow dock security procedures, including awareness of access points and restricted areas as applicable.
· Attend required meetings and training sessions.
· Follow all company, client, and regulatory safety, security, and quality standards.
· Demonstrate ABM Core Values and expected workplace behaviors.
· Perform all required duties of the role and assist with miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
