SUMMARY OF THE POSITION |
The Dock Coordinator is responsible for the overall activities related to inbound and outbound transport and works closely with the Operations team to ensure shipments and deliveries are processed in a timely manner. |
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES |
· Participate in loading and unloading of transport vehicles. · When “directing” the truck loads, responsible for ensuring the truck is secure and safe for transport along with guiding other personnel on safe truck loading habits. · Working alongside Operations, anticipating the inbound and outbound schedule and plan, accordingly, ensuring adequate space has been made to accommodate all movements. · Responsible for receiving all weekly Transfer Orders, ensuring ALL inbound transfers are in “CLOSED” status same day of receiving. Notify proper personnel if there are any “discrepancies” immediately upon arrival. · Work closely with Operations for event shipping and receiving and assign docks for inbound and outbound shipments. · Greet and check in drivers/guests and send to proper docks or shop location · Active communication with the truck drivers and an attention to detail, ensuring they are providing the correct paperwork, and the driver is receiving the correct paperwork. Ensure the drivers are aware of the timeframes provided on the B.O.L. · Handle transportation documents (Bill of Ladings, Customs Docs, etc.). · Dispatch all outbound transfer orders and “support orders” using the Transport Module in the inventory system. · Communicate and assist departments in accounting for missing gear or any discrepancies. · Receive all subrental orders in the inventory system by ensuring the proper piece count and document any shipping damages. Once received, hand off to the respective dept. manager to then process subrentals for outbound order. · Assist the Returns Team with returning and de-prepping tour equipment upon arrival. · Maintain docks, keeping the areas clean and organized. · Communication with the second shift manager concerning night projects to continue/complete for the morning/day shift. · Identify and eliminate potential risks related to health and safety. · Monitor the quality of the work executed according to Solotech’s standards. · Follow all operational procedures written to ensure no mistakes are being made and all inbound and outbound guidelines are being completed according to Solotech standards · Participate to the continuous improvement of the department’s work practices. Other duties as assigned.
