Job Description:
This position is responsible for effectively managing a team of Customer Service Representatives, Fleet Managers, and Drivers.
- Manages with safety in mind. Commits to protecting drivers, customers and community unconditionally. Adheres to TSI/DOT policies and procedures.
- Oversees daily operations of the division.
- Directs staff to take ownership in the bottom line, while driving revenue, reducing cost, and increasing efficiency.
- Understands customer needs and consistently exceeds their expectations. Directs in house efforts in that direction.
- Maintains attention to the changing market environment and aggressively pursues opportunities.
- Works with Sales to maintain relationships with customer base and is responsive to the customer's needs.
- Resolves any issues that arise and avoids service failures.
- Monitors efficiency and productivity reports (% idle time, mpg, hard brakes, and % under dispatch).
- Works with Rair to keep the fleet current with DOT and TSI requirements. (HOS, drug testing, physicals, licenses, training, etc.)
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
