Job Details

We are seeking a senior-level accounting and finance leader to oversee all financial operations for a complex business unit. In this role, we partner closely with operational leadership to provide real-time financial insight, drive performance, and ensure accurate, timely reporting across multiple entities.

This is a highly visible position that blends traditional accounting leadership with operational finance and strategic analysis. We are looking for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves while also contributing at a high level to financial planning, forecasting, and business decision-making.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
Lead monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across multiple entities
Prepare and review financial statements, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
Manage consolidated reporting and intercompany eliminations across domestic and international entities
Partner with operational leadership to analyze performance, identify inefficiencies, and improve profitability
Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term planning models
Monitor gross margins and cost structures to drive informed business decisions
Provide regular cash flow forecasting and financial updates to leadership
Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors and support audit processes
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, including adherence to GAAP and SOX-related requirements
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members across multiple functional areas
Deliver actionable financial insights and proactively advise leadership on risks and opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles
Prior experience in a complex, operationally driven environment (manufacturing or similar preferred)
Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting teams
Strong background in financial reporting, consolidations, and close processes
Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
CPA or MBA is a plus

Requirements

Hands-on approach with the ability to balance detail-oriented work and strategic thinking
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control environments
Experience with cost accounting and margin analysis
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
