Division Controller

Our client, a rapidly growing multi?brand restaurant and hospitality group, is seeking a Division Controller to support its expanding operational and financial infrastructure. 

Location:
The position is based onsite in Austin, TX.

Job Description:
The company is building out a centralized corporate function and scaling its accounting, finance, IT, and procurement capabilities as it grows nationwide. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high?impact accounting function in a complex, multi?unit environment. 

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee general ledger and core accounting functions, including AR, marketing, labor, fixed assets, leases, debt, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage the chart of accounts and ensure accurate financial transaction recording across multiple brands and locations.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP?compliant financial statements.
  • Manage the financial consolidation process across all corporate entities.
  • Lead month?end and year?end close processes with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis, reporting packages, and variance explanations to executive leadership.
  • Support FP&A with budgeting, forecasting, and long?range modeling.
  • Maintain accounting policies and internal controls; ensure compliance with regulatory and GAAP standards.
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors and oversee the audit lifecycle.
  • Implement process improvements and best practices across the accounting function.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience in multi?unit businesses (restaurant, hospitality, retail, or similar).
  • Proven experience managing audits and strengthening internal controls.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
