We are seeking an experienced Dive Superintendent within the Southeast Region to lead and direct complex commercial diving and marine construction operations.
This role is designed for a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced marine environment, excels at building high-performing teams, and is passionate about delivering challenging waterfront, inland waterway, and coastal infrastructure projects across the region.
Dive Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight of all company diving operations, ensuring full compliance with company policies, industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Lead workforce planning efforts by participating in recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development of dive personnel.
- Direct planning, allocation, and optimization of company resources, ensuring established planning processes are executed effectively.
- Collaborate with project teams and clients during pre-construction and pre-job planning phases to develop comprehensive execution strategies that align operational objectives with client expectations.
- Develop and implement strategies, action plans, and performance initiatives that consistently outperform budget and financial targets.
- Provide leadership and oversight of dive crew organization, staffing, and project administration to ensure safe, efficient, and productive field operations.
- Serve as a primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships, ensuring alignment with project requirements, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction throughout project execution.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, contractual obligations, and deliverables.
- Maintain accountability for project financial performance by overseeing budgets and controlling costs.
- Champion company vision, values, and strategic initiatives by cultivating engagement, accountability, and commitment among team members and field personnel.
- Contribute to the development and execution of departmental and organizational goals, providing leadership in shaping the growth, performance, and long-term success of the Underwater Services division.
- Mentor and develop supervisors, dive personnel, and emerging leaders, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and professional growth.
- Travel to active commercial dive and marine construction projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Dive Superintendent Qualifications:
- Must have completed a Diver training program through an Association of Diving Contractors International, Inc. (ADCI) - accredited commercial diving technical institute or military program
- Dive school diploma required
- Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in commercial diving or construction related management; marine construction preferred
- Current ADCI-compliant dive physical required (MD/DO signature required)
- Current ADCI Dive Supervisor certification card
Additional certifications preferred; must be willing to obtain upon hire:
- First Aid/CPR/AED
- Emergency O2 Provider
- HAZWOPPER and Rigging/Signaling
