The Ideal Candidate

The District Sales Manager candidate should have 5 years' experience in either wholesale distribution, residential commercial design-build materials sales, or project a management role. They should possess a positive can-do attitude, strong sales, and people skills, with an aptitude for technical products & solutions. They should be highly motivated and confident with a strong sense of urgency in managing this important and emerging territory.

Job Responsibilities

Ultimately to establish new customer partners while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships to increase sales in the assigned territory.

  • Meet or exceed annual performance goals as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager (supervisor) with 80% of time in the field sales calls calling on wholesale distributors and contractors
  • Identify and develop relationships with key landscape and commercial stormwater contractors
  • Manage time in the territory with professional organizational and planning skills
  • Use and keep the customer relationship management tool current with the latest required information.
  • Identify, manage, and close growth opportunities
  • Conduct product training classes and seminars with our distributors and their end user contractor customers

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree
  • Ability to use Microsoft suite and CRM is a must
  • Valid driver's license as well as clean DMV record
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship, time management, prioritization, and business skills
  • Ability to recognize a problem or potential problem and react quickly and effectively
  • Must demonstrate good team and human relation skills, reliability and integrity
  • Ability to effectively present information in a group setting and respond to questions generated the presented material
