JOB SUMMARY
The District Liaison serves as a conduit of information and assistance between district constituents, municipal leaders, and stakeholders and the Senate President's Office (SPO). The District Liaison keeps apprised of district issues and activities and, under the direction of the District Director, shares information with the SPO.
The District Liaison is a key contact for constituent assistance for the Senate President's district and liaises with federal, state, and local entities to resolve problems for the Senate President's constituents. The District Liaison may represent the Senate President in the district and may accompany and advise the Senate President on district activities. The District Liaison reports to the District Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One to two years of college or technical school and at least 1 year of relevant experience, or any of the following combinations of education and experience:
Bachelor's degree; or
At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Basic understanding of state government operations and the legislative process.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of district issues, demographics, politics, stakeholders, and history.
Knowledge of office computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and remote meeting platforms.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills and temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities and stakeholders in a tactful, positive, collaborative, and professional manner.
Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
Ability to think critically and work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to produce quality work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including working extended hours, possibly on nights and weekends.
Ability to travel throughout the communities of the Middlesex and Norfolk Senate District: Framingham, Natick, Holliston, Hopkinton, Ashland, and Medway.
