DSG is seeking a District Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team. As a District HR Manager, you will serve as a strategic and operational business partner to leaders and employees across assigned areas of the organization. This role balances hands-on HR execution with consultative advisory support, helping leaders effectively manage their teams while aligning people practices with business priorities.
The District HR Manager applies strong business acumen and human resources expertise to influence outcomes related to talent, performance, engagement, and compliance. As a trusted advisor to Vice Presidents, General Managers, Branch Managers, and other people leaders, this role supports both near-term operational needs and longer-term workforce effectiveness. Some travel (up to 20%) may be required.

A Typical Day in the Life of a District HR Manager at DSG:
Strategic Business Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on people-related strategy, workforce decisions, and organizational effectiveness.
Partner with leaders to anticipate and address talent, performance, engagement, and employee relations needs.
Translate business priorities into practical, compliant, and scalable people solutions.
Use HR data, trends, and insights to inform decision-making and recommend improvements.
HR Operations & Employee Support
Provide guidance and support on core HR areas including employee relations, performance management, compensation support, and workforce planning.
Coach leaders on effective people management practices, including feedback, corrective action, and terminations.
Support and, when appropriate, lead investigations and conflict resolution efforts.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies, practices, and programs across supported areas.
Assist with workers' compensation, unemployment claims, leave administration, and related employee matters.
Talent, Engagement, and Development
Support onboarding, development, engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Assist leaders with job design, job description development, and organizational structure considerations in partnership with HR leaders in talent and total rewards
Contribute to workforce planning and staffing strategies in partnership with talent acquisition and leadership.
Leadership & Team Support
Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and development support to a Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner.
Prioritize and coordinate HR work to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
Partner with senior HR leadership on enterprise initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
Compliance, Systems, and Communication
Monitor and support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Partner with outside counsel as needed on legal or compliance-related matters.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within HRIS systems.
Draft and deliver clear internal communications related to HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, applying knowledge to improve HR services.
