POSITION: Senior Staff Attorney or Career Attorney

POSITION #: TBD

SALARY: $78,519.84 - $88,324.08 annually. Actual position classification and beginning salary based on experience.

  • Senior Staff Attorney - $6,543.32 monthly (An attorney admitted to The Florida Bar with at least two years of legal experience shall be appointed or promoted to the Senior Staff Attorney class at the minimum salary).
  • Career Attorney - $7,360.34 monthly (An attorney admitted to The Florida Bar with at least five years of legal experience shall be appointed or promoted to the Career Attorney class at the minimum salary).

LOCATION: St. Petersburg, Florida.

TERM: Two- or three-year position subject to satisfactory annual evaluations.

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited law school with excellent academic standing; law review, journal, or significant law school writing and editing experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, The selected candidate will serve as one of two law clerks assisting the judge in

SKILLS, AND analyzing cases and motions and drafting orders and published opinions. The position

ABILITIES: requires excellent research, writing, and editing skills; attention to detail; excellent time management skills; and the ability to work and communicate effectively with others. Professional and personal discretion and integrity are essential.
