About the role

You’ll guide a warehouse team to hit daily targets while keeping people safe and customers delighted. This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., at an hourly rate of $25–$27 based on experience.

A day in the life

You arrive before the floor ramps up, align goals with your crew, and confirm staffing for receiving, loading, and returns. You coach through the shift—clearing obstacles, reinforcing standards, and keeping communication crisp with both your team and internal partners.

  • Lead the team: Set goals, delegate work, provide measurable feedback, recognize wins, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Build the roster: Interview, hire, and train associates as needed to ensure coverage and capability on every lane.
  • Champion safety: Drive compliance with all programs and regulatory requirements; maintain a clean, hazard-free floor.
  • Raise the bar: Support process improvement initiatives that increase throughput, accuracy, and service.
  • Keep everyone aligned: Run regular huddles so policies, procedures, and productivity expectations are clear and current.
  • Deliver service: Ensure consistent, professional communication and excellent customer service across touchpoints.

Core operations you’ll oversee

  • Receiving
    • Verify inbound shipments completely and accurately.
    • Stock products in the correct locations.
  • Loading
    • Pick items for daily routes and special deliveries.
    • Load trucks efficiently, using space wisely and protecting product integrity.
  • Returns
    • Inspect and physically count returned merchandise.
    • Restock inventory in the appropriate area.
    • Prepare outbound freight for vendor returns.
    • Complete paperwork for all warranty products.
    • Unload customer and inventory transfers from corporate warehouses.
  • Equipment & driving
    • Operate power equipment, including forklifts.
    • Serve as a backup driver when assigned.

Physical demands

You will frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel tools and materials, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and communicate (talk/hear). On occasion, you will lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds is part of the job. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Taste and/or smell may also be required in certain tasks.

Protective equipment

Steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, and SRL (self-retracting lifeline) are required. All equipment is provided by U.S. AutoForce except for steel/composite toe boots.

Work environment

Expect occasional exposure to prevailing weather conditions. Noise is typically moderate. Fumes associated with tires, and occasionally car parts and lubricants, may be present.
