The Dispensing Pharmacist's work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities:
Help prepare prescriptions through a highly automated system
Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders
Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
Work with fellow health care team members
Assure compliance with legal requirements within the pharmacy
Process and check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill Braille and Talking Vial orders
Research medication issues
Other tasks as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
Bachelors of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
Active Pharmacist license from the Florida Board of Pharmacy
Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
Proficient with computers
Work onsite full time at the CenterWell dispensing Center located at 11010 Florida Crown Dr. Suite 200 Orlando, FL 32824
Physical Requirements
Pharmacists will tolerate, handle, and work around all pharmaceutical products throughout worktime
Pharmacists must have dexterity to continuously twist and grasp items throughout worktime
Pharmacists will reach above waist and shoulders frequently
Pharmacists must be able to bend below waist and twist frequently
Pharmacists must be able to stand during entire work shift, lift up to 30lbs as needed, frequently reach, bend, stoop, and squat throughout worktime
Pharmacists are solely responsible for processing and verifying all braille and talking labels, which come out of dispensing during worktime
Preferred Qualifications
Active California license with the California board of pharmacy as a pharmacist
3 or more years' experience in a high-volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
Ability to be licensed in multiple states as a pharmacist
Experience in a high-volume mail order and/or retail setting
Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group

Work Hours: 8-hour shift Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. EST (Based on business need)
Overtime (Can include weekends-Saturday and/or Sunday) based on business needs
