Job Description
We are looking for a dependable Dispatcher to coordinate daily routes for delivery truck drivers based out of Union, NJ. This role is ideal for someone who knows New Jersey extremely well and can efficiently plan and adjust delivery routes across the state. You will be the main point of contact for drivers throughout the day, helping ensure on-time and efficient deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch and support delivery truck drivers throughout New Jersey
Plan and adjust routes using strong knowledge of NJ roads, highways, traffic patterns, and local areas
Communicate with drivers regarding routes, delays, traffic, and delivery updates
Monitor driver progress and resolve issues in real time
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth daily deliveries
Maintain accurate delivery and route documentation
Handle schedule changes due to traffic, weather, or last-minute requests
* Expert level knowledge of New Jersey geography including major highways, local roads, and regional traffic patterns.
* Experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation management with the ability to coordinate delivery truck drivers.
* High proficiency in problem solving and multitasking within a fast paced, high pressure environment.
* Strong technical skills in basic computing, including professional email, spreadsheets, and specialized dispatch or routing software.
