Job Title: Dispatcher Manager

Job Summary
The Dispatcher Manager is responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations, coordinating deliveries, managing drivers, and ensuring timely and accurate distribution of windows and moulding products. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction, optimizing routes, and ensuring safe and efficient transportation for a high-volume building materials operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily dispatch operations for local and regional deliveries
- Schedule and coordinate delivery routes for windows, moulding, and related materials
- Assign drivers, vehicles, and delivery priorities based on order volume and timelines
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively resolve delays or scheduling conflicts
- Ensure accurate load planning, delivery documentation, and order verification
- Communicate with warehouse, production, sales, and customer service teams to align delivery schedules
- Train, coach, and evaluate dispatchers and drivers to maintain productivity and safety standards
- Enforce DOT, safety, and company transportation policies
- Track delivery performance, KPIs, and driver metrics to improve efficiency
- Handle customer delivery inquiries, escalations, and issue resolution
- Maintain dispatch systems, logs, and transportation records
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and distribution
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5+ years of dispatch or logistics management experience, preferably in building materials, manufacturing, or distribution
- Strong knowledge of routing, scheduling, and freight coordination
- Experience managing drivers and dispatch staff in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with windows, moulding, or construction materials a plus
- Proficiency with dispatch software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety best practices
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment
- Occasional lifting, walking in warehouse areas, and extended periods at a computer
- May require early mornings or extended hours based on delivery schedules
