The Dispatch Manager leads and manages the day-to-day operation of multiple operations/locations, while providing frequent and efficient communication with customers, drivers, and leadership.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Compensation: $68,000-$75,000/year
Essential Duties:
- Lead and manage multiple dispatch offices/operations to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure team members have the proper resources, training and tools to execute their job.
- Address escalated question and resolve complex issues as they arise in a timely manner.
- Coach the team for improved productivity.
- Setting clear expectations.
- Assist with preparing and dispatching orders to the carrier.
- Utilization of KPI’s to drive results for the business.
- Communicate with customers in a timely and effective manner via phone and email.
- Personal responsibility to manage change.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least five years of experience in customer service.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Previous logistics experience preferred.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other general office equipment.
- Working knowledge of Zendesk is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to proactively research and resolve problems.
- Strong leadership skills
