Dispatch / Customer Service Representative with $2000 Sign-On Bonus Job description:
Port City Concrete is a well established and growing company in Charleston and greater Charleston. We are searching for a Customer Service/Dispatch Representative to join our expanding team. This is a skilled position that will coordinate the sale, scheduling, and on time delivery of concrete products, while meeting Customer specifications in a cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities: - Answer Customer calls on a multi-line phone system, as well as via text messaging
- Accurately enter Customer orders into concrete dispatching software
- Track trucks using GPS software
- Communicate with drivers via 2 way radio system
- Assign trucks to jobsites
- Collaborate with QA, Sales, Plant Managers, and Safety daily to ensure on time delivery with the proper products and admixtures
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills: - 2-3 years prior experience in customer service or dispatch, preferred
- Strong computer and direct order entry skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Good communication and motivational skills
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Concrete experience helpful but not necessary, we are willing to train the right fit for the position

Job Type: Full-time Sign-On Bonus: - $500 after 90 days of employment
- $500 after 6 months of employment
